Hey 👋 I'm a human who likes to work on meaningful things.

Currently I am pursuing a PhD at the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research (UFZ), studying urban climate adaptation using natural language processing (NLP)/machine learning, supervised by Mariana de Brito and Christian Kuhlicke.

In the past, I worked as a software engineer building open data infrastructure for air quality at OpenAQ. I also worked on projects related to housing affordability, civic tech, and more.

I am enthusiastic about open data and using technology for good, and care deeply about climate justice. I believe transformative change comes from collective action, infinite growth is not sustainable, and central to the climate crisis is tackling growing inequality.

Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, traveling, singing, and wandering through space and time.
